Our client a boutique asset management firm are seeking an experienced Manager to join their team on a permanent basis reporting into the Head of Middle Office.

Job Description:

The person we are looking for will have several years of management experience (although this position would only be managing a small team) with strong CASS knowledge. Client Operations experience a must covering reconciliation, payments, corporate actions, portfolio and asset data management and client report production. 

The role requires the individual to perform day to day managerial duties as well as cover checking and processing functions in the absence of team managers, and to cover other absences as required.

Area 1: Managing team members - Provide control, direction and motivation of team members. Review of performance plans. 

Area 2: Perform daily controls for Client Money & Asset processes:

  • Review of client money shortfalls – ensuring team funds o/d positions.
  • Daily oversight of client money reconciliations 
  • Daily oversight of client money cash management calculations
  • Monitoring of client payments through various custodian platforms, including daily deposit funding
  • Monitoring of client standing orders and income distributions
  • Review management fees and rebates
  • Monitoring of Client Assets, review of breaks


Area 3: Corporate Actions and Governance 

  • Monitoring of corporate action and dividend files
  • Review proxy voting accounts


Area 3: Review and monitoring of department procedures and policies.

Area 4: Support the processing of operational functions in the absence of department managers.

Area 5: Query tracking, liaising with internal departments, custodians, and other providers.

Area 6: Provide support across the wider department and to Head of Client Operations.

  • Strong proven operational experience with good technical understanding of the processes involved.
  • Management proficiency is required. 
  • The individual must have strong CASS knowledge gained working within a recent operational environment.
  • Strong communication skills, organization, and multi-tasking skills as must be able to work to deadlines.



Candidates without strong CASS operational experience will not be considered.
