Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:  


This is a key role within the Group finance team, encompassing both ownership of the Group’s management reporting and finance systems development 
Reporting responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for the preparation of the Group’s monthly management accounts.  Identify efficiencies, improvements and automation opportunities to further streamline the management reporting process and outputs.
  • Responsible for the preparation and analysis of the quarterly cost centre reporting.  Ownership of the budget process for the Group.
  • Ownership of the UK investment management fee rebates.  Ownership of the UK performance fee and rebate calculations. 

 
Systems responsibilities 

 

  • Drive continued improvement and development of the CODA general ledger and finance processes, deploying new functionality and automation of processes and reporting where appropriate.   
  • Coordinate and take responsibility for supporting the Finance IT infrastructure and provide support to the Group’s accountants in the production and analysis of system driven information.
  • Work with the Head of Finance to manage the implementation of CODA to subsidiaries worldwide.
  • Work alongside the Group’s IT department to manage the application of new modules/amendments to the general ledger system and software upgrades/system improvements where appropriate. 

 
Key Competencies Required for Role:

  • Qualified accountant with 3+ years of investment management industry experience (ACA, ACMA).
  • Passionate about finding efficiencies in systems and processes with genuine desire to drive transformation and deliver automation to the Group finance team.
  • A highly technical mind-set, with superior IT skills.  Ability to analyse, challenge and prepare written commentary on financial data for Board level.
  • Attention to detail and ability to see the bigger picture and deliver projects to completion.  Ability to manage your own time and meet key group reporting deadlines.
  • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate key financial metrics.
  • Manage relationships across all cost centres in the Group.
  • Self-starter with a proven ability to manage expectations.
  • Takes pride in and ownership of their work. 

 
Reporting / Management Information Requirements:

  • Day to day reporting to the UK Financial Controller on all areas of responsibility.
  • Reporting to the Group Head of Finance on an ad hoc basis.
  • Collaboration with other Group teams on an ad hoc basis.
